Regarding laptops, which we are seeing more of, our company has a special bay in which to insert your laptop hard drive and recover your information. We do this constantly for laptops as you will notice the Windows registry can go south fairly easily. We don't blame Microsoft as much as we do spyware and adware.

It can be difficult to diagnose a bad hard drive on a PC. Fortunately for our customers, we understand how to detect a failing hard drive before it gives out. We understand the intracies of S.M.A.R.T as well as disk geometry, jumper settings, bad blocks, PATA and SATA configurations, disk passwords, cabling, and diagnostics. We are able to run fitness tests of the manufacturer as well as apply other tools to correctly diagnose your failing hard drive and supply proof that it is failing.

We will soon be expanding into the maintenance and troubleshooting of SCSI hard drives and in fact have a SCSI expert on our team to assist us should you suspect a problem with your SCSI connections.

The experience we have with purchasing, handling, configuring, replacing and cabling PATA and SATA hard drives will be helpful to customers who are wondering whether they should just go out and buy a new machine. Although it is tempting to throw out the old machine and purchase a new one, our customers benefit from our ability, through leveraging the technology of disk imaging, to backup everything on their drive before replacing it.
