Gary was precisely on time to my house in New York City coming all the way from Westchester. After arriving at 9am sharp he helped me to solve many issues I was having with my computers. Some of these problems I had tried to get help with before but nobody could figure it out! That's how I knew I needed a real 'guru'.

We renewed and configured firewalling on my laptop preserving existing settings with my BitDefender. I was worried that ZoneAlarm and BitDefender wouldn't get along. He helped me to establish security on my new iMac -- and yes! even Apples require some attention to security! He also taught me how important physical security was as well. After that he solved ornery problems with the printing of my Sudoku games from my Mac and helped me solve the weird inability to print selected text from the web! I am delighted to have finally found someone who can support all my computer needs, even when I am down in Florida. We found a good printer to fit my needs and we ordered an external hard drive he recommended.

Gary was also available for followup on two occasions, one of which fell under his policy of guaranteed service and the other incident, understandably I had to pay his small rate of $1.50 per minute which was unbelievably efficient. All in all, I am delighted with Orange Crystal Consulting and would heartily recommend them to any computer user, sophisticated or not, who has had difficulty in the past finding a reliable person.

It has been almost two years since my husband and I hired Gary Goodman of Orange Crystal Consulting to set up a wireless home computer network for us. At the time, Gary researched and purchased two new laptops on our behalf to add to the other two computers we already had. As a person who religiously updates her antivirus, steers clear of “bad” Websites, and backs-up her work fairly regular, I thought I was immune to viruses and perhaps worse…ad ware. Wrong! I am now as fully protected as one can be! In addition, Gary has helped me purchase and set up an external hard drive and taught me how to back up my system on a regular basis using Ghost. It’s easier than you’d imagine!

I was having trouble with my computer about 6 months ago. As a matter of fact, it was infected with the Klezworm. I contacted Gateway since I had a three year contract and between my wife and I we spent literally hours on the phone with Gateway trying to resolve the problem. Nothing worked; except our frustration mounted. I then asked the young man across our street who" knows" computers to help. He got a friend of his who works at a well known national computer store to come in and help me. Days later and a substantial amount of money later the problem was still not resolved. By this time I was ready to put the computer and its' parts out by the curb for the garbage man to pick up. In a local publication, I saw an advertisement for Orange Crystal Consulting--Gary Goodman. I E-mailed him and within a very short amount of time he had answered me and we set up an appointment for him to come to my house to look at my computer.
When he came he had all his tools with him. Within an hour or hour and a half he had the problem fixed and we were back using our computer.
Since then I have used Gary on a number of occasions. He comes to the house if he is needed(sometimes he can fix the problem over the phone) in a very short amount of time, he tells you what the problem is and fixes it right away, he will even go to a local computer store and get a part if needed and has you back in business in a very short amount of time. He even charges less than a well known computer store charges for repairs. He is scrupulously honest, presents you with a written bill and then follows up with a phone call to make sure everything he fixed is working.
